Star Card Challenge

Hello!
Happy Summer to you all!
I am sharing a card today that I made for a team challenge in the Stars! The challenge was to make a project using stars. You could draw the stars, stamp the stars, die cut the stars, use the word "star", etc. You just had to incorporate something to go with the theme of "stars". This challenge gave me a great opportunity to use my stitched stars dies to create the card below.

Card Details:
  1. Card Stock
  • Real Red for the card base. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4 lengthwise.
  • Whisper white for 1st layer and label. White layer 4 1/8 x 5 1/4 and for the label scraps
  • Night of Navy DSP. 4 x 5 1/8
  • Brass foil sheets for the die cuts
  1. Stamps, Ink, and details
  • The sentiment from By The Dock Stamp Set
  • Night of Navy ink for the label
  • Real Red ink for the edge of the label
  • Clear embossing powder and dazzling diamond glitter. (I mix equal parts of both for embossing edges)
  • Versamark
  • Stitched Stars dies for all of the beautiful Brass foil stars.
The Stitched Stars Dies are amazing. You could use these stars for all kinds of projects!

Forever Greenery Suite!

Forever Greenery, Forever Favorite!

Happy Tuesday!

Today I am sharing a card made with the Forever Greenery Suite. I absolutely love this suite!!! The classic foliage on the Designer Series Paper, in the Stamp Set, and the dies are amazing. One of the other reasons I love this suite is the card stock options to coordinate with it. I am not a big fan of green. But, the Just Jade In-Color is a beautiful green. And, one of my favorite, Pretty Peacock, really ties in great with this suite.

Hello Friends!

Today I am featuring a card that I made for a team Sketch Challenge. This card features Designer Series Paper from the World Of Good Suite in the new Annual Catalog. Plus the embossing folder featured in the In Good Taste Suite in the new Annual Catalog. I love to use these 2 suites for masculine cards. I have added 2 different photos using different lighting and angles to show off the brass and gold accents.

Card Details:
  • Paper with measurements
  1. Early Espresso Card Stock for the standard card base - Cut 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".
  2. Crumb Cake for the mat - Cut 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".
  3. Very Vanilla Card Stock - Cut 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" for embossing and a small scrap for the sentiment.
  4. World of Good Designer Series Paper for brass foil accent mates and small diamonds.
  • Ink and Embellishments
  1. Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pads for inking the embossing folder. Gently tap each ink pad all over the embossing folder.
  2. Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad for the sentiment.
  3. Gold Gilded Gems for sentiment
  4. Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack for back ground ribbon and gold threads for the sentiment. I unwound the gold thread to make separate strands of gold. But it will also work great if you do not unwind the thread.
  • Tools
  1. Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder for embossing the Very Vanilla 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" card stock.
  2. Embossing/Cutting machine to cut die shapes and emboss Very Vanilla Card Stock.
  3. Tombow Multipurpose Glue to adhere the mat to the card base.
  4. Stampin' Seal to adhere the Designer Series Paper and sentiment to the Gold foil diamonds.
  5. Sponge Dauber to blend the inks on the embossing folder. Gently tap and drag the sponge dauber to blend the inks.
  6. Stampin' Dimensionals to pop out the sentiment.
  • Stamp Sets and Dies
  1. Layering Square Dies to cut the Designer Series Paper diamonds and the Very Vanilla sentiment.
  2. By the Dock stamp set for the sentiment.
